Disney, Pixar, Apple and iTunes Music Store

If you haven’t already heard, Disney bought Pixar for $7.4 billion. This after their relationship seemed to have slightly soured a few years ago.

MacCentral has an article about how this could benefit Apple.

What I’ve noticed is that the bandwagon for video content on iTunes Music Store is gaining speed. Every day seems to bring new content. Recall, when it was first announced, the iTunes Music Store contained videos like Desperate Houswives, Lost, and few others. Now, there are Saturday Night Live “Best of” videos, Battlestar Galactica, Monk (have you seen Monk?! It’s pretty funny. Odd, but funny), South Park, Stand-Up Comedy, short films from Disney and Pixar (surprise, surprise!), Commander in Chief, The A-Team, The Office, The Munsters, Law & Order. The list goes on.

(Interestingly, it appears that the sports offerings which were there, such as the recent USC vs. U Texas bowl game, appear to be missing. Have they been removed?)

But, regardless, there is lots more now than there was originally. This is a good thing. I can’t wait until Fox gets on-board.
