Moscow Heat Wave

Yes, it’s unseasonably hot here. After several weeks in October and November when it seemed that Moscow had skipped directly from summer to winter, the temperature has actually warmed up. We have had several days with snow, but very little. Usually just a dusting and it’s gone pretty quickly.

Yes, it’s dark and gloomy. Yes, the sun has only peeked out a few times and only very briefly. But, nonetheless, people have been talking about the rainbow that was seen a week or so ago. That’s gotta be a good sign, no?

But, here’s an example of this heat wave. Two weeks ago, coming home after midnight football training, the car’s outdoor thermometer indicated that night time temperature was +7.5 degrees Celsius (45 degrees Fahrenheit).

This is good. It makes it feel like this is autumn and will make the winter feel not quite so long as normal.

Hope it’s ‘warm’ where you are.
